Cockroach Preperations

NOTICE TO TENANT:  If all items are not completed your unit will not be treated.  You may be responsible for payment for us to return at a non-scheduled time to treat your unit.  It is most important that all units be done at the same time to achieve 100% control.

ITEMS TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE TREATMENT

  1. Remove all food, dishes, pots, pans, towels, silverware etc. from ALL kitchen and bathroom cupboards and drawers.  Items may not be left on the kitchen or bathroom counter tops or in sinks.  Remove drawers and stack empty drawers in a criss-cross pattern on the floor.  Also remove any breadboards.  Place items on a table and throw a sheet over the top.
  2. Remove all pets from the unit for at least 4 hours from the beginning of the treatment of your unit.
  3. People are also to be out of the unit during treatment and afterwards for at least 4 hours from the start of treatment on your unit.  If you have any medical problems it may be advisable to be out longer.  Please consult with your physician.
  4. Disconnect all smoke alarms.
  5. Move furniture away from walls by at least 2 feet.
  6. Remove bottom drawer from oven and clean that area.  Leave the drawer out.
  7. Pull the refrigerator out by at least one foot and clean that area.  Leave out from the wall so this area can be treated.

CLEAN UP:  All surface areas such as counter tops, sinks, and the bottoms of cupboards should be wiped down before putting article back.  Do NOT wipe baseboards, cracks, or crevices under sinks or in cupboards, as you will wash off chemical residual.  You may still notice some active cockroach infestations for a couple of weeks following the initial treatment, but this is normal as they are being flushed out from wall and ceiling voids.

If you have any questions, please contact our office anytime Monday – Friday between 8am and 5 pm.

Thank you.

Flea Treament Preparation

  1.  Vacuum or wash throw rugs; vacuum carpeted areas and furniture (especially between and under cushions.)  Vacuum along baseboard areas.  Throw the bag away after vacuuming.
  2. Mop and or sweep all vinyl or hardwood floors.
  3. Pick up items off the floor areas including closet areas.  Shoes, toys, clothing, magazines, newspapers etc must be up off the floor areas prior to any treatment being performed.
  4. Pets should have a professional flea treatment or an in home treatment done just prior to treatment or right after treatment of your home.
  5. People and pets need to vacate the premises during and after the treatment for approximately 3-4 hour or until carpets are thoroughly dry.  To test if carpets are dry, lay a tissue on the carpet and step on it.  If carpets are still damp, vacate 1-2 more hour.
  6. Aquariums and fish bowls are OK to be left on the premises as long as they are up off the floor and covered with a towel.
  7.  Approximately 24 hours after the flea service, vacuuming the entire home will help cause the fleas to hatch out and come in contact with the chemical residual.  Vacuuming will not lift the chemicals from the carpeted areas.  Do not damp mop vinyl and hardwood floors for a couple of weeks.  If you plan to have carpets cleaned, you will need to wait 60 days or have it done prior to treatment.  By vacuuming every few days, you will help the fleas to come under quicker control.

NOTE:  It is not uncommon to see a few fleas up to the three week follow up, especially after vacuuming.
